These inspiring women demonstrated that commitment, influence and excellence can expand the potential for any event! Rallied around the Power of Prevention Breakfast and The Council’s area youth programs benefitting from the event, these ladies found and created opportunities resulting in the most celebrated and successful Breakfast to date.
Margaret Mead is credited for saying, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." These ladies proved her right.
An additional tribute is due to the distinguished event sponsors. The Thompson & Knight Foundation’s notable presence and faithfulness have yet to be equaled. Amegy Bank, Grahamcracker Graphics and Sante Center for Healing were key factors in surpassing the event’s goals. Partnered with The Council, all four of these businesses are intersecting with the community’s needs for youth substance abuse prevention programming.
